A Buckhead lunch usually has to fit inside a gap between meetings, so most people default to whatever is fastest. I wanted to give that hour something better without turning it into a two-hour sit-down. That is where these five Thai Bowls came from: one bowl, a protein grilled to order, rice, vegetables, and a sauce chosen to pull it all together, ready to eat the moment it reaches your table. Why I built the bowls this way Plenty of places do a "build your own" bowl where you point at ingredients and hope they get along. I went the other direction. Each of these five is a composed dish, which means I picked the sauce, the vegetables, and the protein to work as one plate. The teriyaki bowl leans sweet and toasty; the beef basil bowl is bold and herbaceous; the curry-based bowls are warm and a little rich. You are not assembling a compromise, you are ordering a dish I would send out to my own table. Everything is cooked to order on the same line as the rest of our menu. The steak and the salmon hit the grill when you order them, the egg is soft-set, and the vegetables stay crisp instead of steaming to grey in a warming tray. It costs us a few more minutes, and it is the whole point. Five bowls, five different moods The Hen Solo Teriyaki Bowl is the easy crowd-pleaser, glazed in real teriyaki with broccoli, carrots, onions, and toasted sesame. The Beef Basil Bowl is for people who want a little punch at lunch, with our signature sauce, a soft Japanese egg, and crisp cucumber. The Thai Grilled Steak Bowl is the one to order when a weekday deserves to feel like a small occasion. The Shrimp Sensation Bowl brings a bright yellow curry, and the Salmon Bowl is built on a fragrant Panang. Each one is pictured below with exactly what goes in it. Gluten-free and dietary notes Two of the five, the Shrimp Sensation Bowl and the Salmon Bowl, are gluten-free, so a table with different needs does not have to split up across two restaurants to make lunch work. If you are watching spice, tell your server; most of these can be dialed up or down. Our whole kitchen holds a zero-MSG, no-chemical-additive standard, and that applies to the bowls too. How to order The bowls are on the lunch menu now at 3872 Roswell Road NE Unit 18B, Atlanta, GA 30342. Walk in and grab a seat, or call (404)-343-1516 first if you want to check the day's hours before you head over. If you are coming with a few coworkers, the bowls plate quickly, which makes them a good pick when the table is on the clock.
